| dc.description.abstract | The Scholars@TAMU team at Texas A&M University (TAMU) Libraries has been using VIVO in production since 2015. The main goal of our project is enhance the research and academic reputation of TAMU and support the ability of faculty/colleges to craft rich narratives of the significance and impact of their work.
Realizing that the base VIVO installation did not meet our diverse campus needs, we began to build customizations, and developed creative solutions. This effort prompted the development and release of an upgraded version (v2) of Scholars@TAMU with a new user interface, along with additional data, integration with other TAMU and external systems, and an API, allowing for easy data reusability. Alongside the technical efforts, we continued outreach activities to increase campus engagement, assisting faculty, researchers, departments and administration with generating reports based on Scholars@TAMU data.
This presentation will provide a brief history of Scholars@TAMU and the current state of our researcher information management (RIM) system.
