PHLT 470 Global Health Systems - Germany Preparedness and Planning
Abstract
This 3-credit study abroad course is designed for undergraduates to develop an understanding of the challenges of managing the transboundary consequences of disasters, whether natural or man-made. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the differences in culture, language, and disaster management approaches between the host country, neighboring countries, international organizations, and their country of origin.
Description
This course is open to all majors across Texas A&M University with the understanding, while the foundation is in public health, there are elements of public health in all disciplines. Learning in a diverse environment with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences facilitates transformational learning to help students become global citizens with a desire to leave the world a bit better than they found it.Department
