Abstract
Purpose [line break] The purposes of this investigation were to (1) obtain information concerning the careers of graduates of the Department of Agricultural Education at Texas A&M University to the end that bases could be found for counseling students and prospective students; (2) provide information that could lead to improvement of the curriculum; and, (3) provide information for improving the placement services. Thus, objectives wore developed to (1) determine the factors that influenced graduates to select agricultural education at Texas A&M University as a college major; (2) determine the occupational status of agricultural education graduates: (3) determine the perception of curricular experiences of agricultural education graduates in retrospect; and (4) develop recommendations for adjustments in the placement services, in counseling processes, and in curriculum requirements. ...
