Description

This collection contains Texas A&M University theses and dissertations written between 1922 and 2004.

History

In 2004, the Texas A&M University’s Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGAPS) began requiring electronic submission of theses and dissertations. Prior to this, Texas A&M University theses and dissertations were bound and shelved at the University Libraries. The theses and dissertations in this collection were digitized by the University Libraries.

If any discrepancies exist between the archival print materials of theses and dissertations maintained by the Libraries and the digital versions in this collection, the printed materials should be considered the official version of record.

Access

In most cases, theses and dissertations in this collection are treated as digitized "shelf copies." Since authors retain the copyright to their work, access to the full-text of theses and dissertations is restricted to:

  • Open Access

Some theses and dissertations in this collection are open access. Authors may granted permission for their works to be openly distributed. Additionally, theses and dissertations in the public domain are open access.

Former students are invited to broaden access to their research and scholarship. If you are the author of a digitized thesis or dissertation in this collection, please consider granting permission for your work to be open access.
