Centrifugal Compressor High Sub-Synchronous Vibration (SSV) During Higher Load and Speed
Abstract
In this case study, presence of moisture, contaminant and H2S in process gas has ben discussed that lead to compressor component deterioration and damage. In addition, having situation of idling the compressor close to its critical speed also accelerated further impact and resulted in SSV issue.
