dc.description.abstract | Federated search provides a single search interface that allows users to search multiple online resources simultaneously—subscription databases, library catalogs, and other electronic resources—with one query that returns one list of results. The large number of resources and the complexity of the search process make implementation of federated search a practical solution for larger institutions. The author suggests that it also makes sense for school libraries. | en |
