Printing Cervantes: A Legacy of Words and Images was a Fall 2016 Cushing Memorial Library and Archives exhibition, honoring the legacy of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra in the year that marked the 400th anniversary of his death. The exhibition showcased the Eduardo Urbina Cervantes Collection and was co-curated by Dr. Fernando González Moreno (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha) with Anton duPlessis and Kevin O'Sullivan (Cushing Library). This booklet highlights some of the items in the collection and discusses the exhibition themes (for example, depictions of Don Quixote, early children's adaptations, etc.). It also includes a chronology of Cervantes's life and works. The Eduardo Urbina Cervantes Collection started in 2001 and has become a highly regarded international reference for Cervantine scholars and one of the best collections exclusively dedicated to Don Quixote illustrated editions.
