Cordaitean Predation Photos 2019: Unmounted Peels, Wild Cones. Plate 18B
Abstract
A mature cordaitean cone containing a single golden coprolite (picture 1), 2 brown coprolites were identified in the matrix (picture 2). Plate 18B is a successive peel taken from the same coal ball as plate 18A.
Description
These images were used in the research for a master's thesis from the Texas A&M University Dept. of Geology and Geophysics (Date of submission: May 2020).Images were taken from unmounted peels of coal balls.
Cone A is a mature cone containing a golden coprolite.
2 brown coprolites were identified in the matrix.
Peels were made by Anne Raymond, the advisor for this thesis.
