New, web-based tools and services are being developed that can enhance the visibility of faculty research, enrich their scholarly identity, and support the discovery of potential collaborators. The Texas A&M University Libraries is designing several integrated tools that create unique identifiers for scholars, harvesting the metadata associated with their scholarly work, develop semantic web applications and databases that allow the visualization of researcher profiles, and organize metrics of scholarly impact. These systems include VIVO, ORCIDs, PlumX, and our institutional repositories.en
