A preliminary environmental and archaeological assessment of the 9.07 acre site of the proposed Woodway Park addition in Brazos County, Texas was conducted by archaeologist William E. Moore of Brazos Valley Research Associates and geologist David S. Pettus of Southwest Geoservices in September of 1994. This study did not locate any evidence of hazardous waste material or other items of environmental concern, nor were any prehistoric or historic sites found to be present. The park site is considered by the archaeologist to be a low probability area for prehistoric sites. Historic utilization of the park site has been primarily agricultural and/or ranching.en
