dc.description.abstract | This thesis provides a starting point for computer raphics. character developers wishing to produce facial animation using Maya software. A background on past developments is given to highlight major events in the history of computer facial animation. A description of current state of the art provides current achievements by academic and industrial labs as well as individual artists. A tutorial focusing on modeling, texturing, and setting up animation controls for a facial model offers step by step instruction for producing facial animation in Maya. The tutorial also explains how anatomy influences the facial modeling process and key tips for generating realistic facial features and animation. | en |
