| dc.description.abstract | This creative thesis is a collection of poetry and short fiction. The Native American legend of Bone Woman is explored as an analogy for the creative process; the author's works are intended to reflect this poetic. The introduction addresses the legend and its archetypal significance as a theory of creativity, while the body of the work consists of two thematically arranged groups of poetry and fiction: "Assemblies: Celebrations," which focuses on accepting one's part in the universe; and "Structures: Critiques," which problematizes the mechanization of the natural world. | en |
