dc.description.abstractMicrostrip delay lines have many possible applications in today's world of high frequency communications and radar systems. High dielectric constant (high-x) substrates allow for the building of miniaturized microstrip delay fines which is advantageous in this environment of compact microwave electronics. An investigation of the capabilities of delay lines on high-K materials is made. In addition, a research of the substrate materials is done to determine the qualities needed to produce low-loss, temperature-stable delay lines. Finally, guidelines for producing high performance delay lines are presented.en
