dc.description.abstractSix experiments, utilizing a total of 187 animals, were conducted to investigate the feasibility of incorporating animal fat into liquid supplements for beef cattle. Evaluation was on the basis of acceptability, consumption levels, animal performance and nutrient digestibility of different roughages. A mixing procedure was developed which allowed the successful incorporation of up to 10% fat in liquid supplements which were of sufficient fluidity to be utilized through self-feeding devices. ...en
