Abstract
Purpose The purpose of the study was to test the ability of the Lee-Thorpe Occupational Interest Inventory to indicate the probable disciplinary choices of undergraduate students in the College of Agriculture at Texas A&M University in order to provide information that can be used in counseling. The following specific objectives were developed: 1. To construct student occupational interest profiles for each of the disciplines in the College of Agriculture. 2. To determine the differences among the interest scores of the disciplinary groups in the College of Agriculture. 3. To determine differences between the interest scores in each discipline and the scores of students who changed discipline within the College of Agriculture prior to completion of the baccalaureate degree. 4. To develop recommendations for use of the Lee-Thorpe Occupational Interest Inventory in counseling students concerning disciplinary choice in the College of Agriculture. ...
