dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the research was to examine the potentialities and limitations regarding the development of linear stereoscopic illustrations as teaching devices in college level descriptive geometry. An additional purpose of the study was to evaluate these devices in terms of student achievement by a comparative study. A review of history revealed that four basic methods have been used to simulate three dimensions on two-dimensional media, with each having advantages and disadvantages. Each of these known methods was examined and evaluated for possible classroom use. A process of using color filtration, called the anaglyphic method, was chosen to produce the illusion of depth for the study. ...en
