A quasi-synoptic study is made of 27 species of euphausiids from the oceanic waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Yucatan Strait, and Northwest Caribbean. One species, Thysanopoda acutifrons is reported for the first time. Samples were taken in July, 1969, using a Longhurst-Hardy sampling system and a standard non-closing meter met. Over half the species have length measurements greater than those previously reported. No correlation was found between horizontal or vertical distribution patterns of individual species and hydrographic data or circulation patterns. The day depth distributions in this study tend to be equal to or slightly deeper when compared with both eastern Atlantic and eastern Pacific data.en
