Presentationen
This presentation will develop themes associated with the selection and fabrication of materials for use in chemical, petrochemical, and energy production. Fundamentals underlying these themes will be covered. The role of codes in these procedures will be discussed, together with the utility of recommended practices from various societies and organizations. The presentation will also discuss the role of in-service monitoring to follow potential deterioration both from corrosion and in mechanical properties. Possible approaches to improve safety and reliability over and above those required by codes and recommended practices will be presented.en
