The concern is to determine the process by which directly relevant, and inversely relevant characteristics function to affect expectation states. Results of a four-condition experiment showed that dissimilarity alone of the relevance bond among characteristics had no effect on the generalization process. In other words, characteristics were simply combined as was shown previously for the simpler situation (Technical Reports 32 and 35).
