dc.description.abstract | The intent of this study was to determine if there is a correlation between discharge curves and venting on waste transport. Test stands were built to facilitate discharge curve and waste transport testing at the ESL Laboratory of Texas A&M. Tests were completed to characterize the discharge curve of water closets and to determine if venting affects the discharge curve. Initial tests were administered to provide preliminary data investigating the effects of discharge curves and venting on waste transport. The results of this research indicate that there were no statistical differences concerning venting effects on discharge curves, initial waste transport data point to a long duration and high velocity discharge curve as being the most effective in transporting waste; and there is no correlation between venting and waste transport. | en |
