dc.description.abstract | This thesis examines current resocialization strategies within a juvenile justice facility in Texas. The focus is on intervention groups and the conversations within these groups. Data was collected on several different groups and several different leaders of groups over a six month period. The data indicates, among other things, that intervention groups are not only characterized by large degrees of participation inequality but also by a lack of positive evaluations involving both group leaders and youth. The data is discussed in terms of successful resocialization strategies. | en |
