dc.description.abstract | Journalists rely on sources in their daily routines, and the sources they choose affect news content over time. Agricultural journalists are no exception. Eleven agricultural journalists in Texas were studied to determine what types of sources they use in news gathering and reporting. The study also investigated whether a direct, positive relationship exists between the perceived credibility of a type of source and the use of that type of source in news stories. The study shows that agricultural journalists rely heavily on both government and industry sources on a daily basis although they say they find farm and government sources to be the most credible. | en |
