dc.description.abstract | In my thesis a performance analysis of a Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) system for mobile radio communications is presented in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) plots. The simulation, which is done using C programming language, refers to the Forward Link from the Base Station to the Mobile Station. It includes simulating a convolutional encoder for channel coding, interleaver, a Differential Binary modulator and a Rake receiver. The Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel has been taken as a reference to compare the performance of the CDMA system with BPSK system. The simulation has been carried out to find the performance in a multipath fading environment. A different number of users is added to evaluate the performance degradation. | en |
