dc.description.abstract | Versatile thermoluminescent dosimetry systems have always been essential in radiation protection programs. Recent sensitivity, fade rate, and energy response studies have shown A'201:C to be very promising for applications in gamma radiation environments (Levy and Zelac 1992). Brown (1994) conducted similar successful studies of the thermoluminescent (TL) response of A'203:C to beta radiation. This report documents the measured TL response of A'203:C when exposed to mixed field irradiation. Analysis, under a variety of conditions, shows this dosimeter to be insensitive to neutron irradiation. Additionally, the TL response was studied for variation in output due to changing the heating rate of the crystal. The measured output was constant from 8. 1 'C s-' to 2 5 'C s-'. | en |
