dc.description.abstract | A new kind of baseband pulse is introduced in a receiver using nonsynchronized uniform samples. The pulse is an orthonormal wavelet generated by a discrete filter. Its performance is examined by applying a sequence estimation and synchronization algorithm to samples taken above the Nyquist rate of the sequences of wavelet pulses. Different sequence lengths and timing errors in sampling, as well as different types of wavelet pulses are also investigated. Further, with the same algorithm, the joint estimation between two orthogonal sequences of wavelet pulses is tested for the purpose of increasing the channel data rate without bandwidth expansion. | en |
