dc.description.abstract | The effects of aggregate gradation on moisture diffusivity in concrete are investigated. The method involves a factorial design that considers two types of gradation (Gap Gradation and Optimum Gradation), aggregate type (Crushed Limestone or River Gravel), and the presence of fly ash (10% by cement weight or none). Also developed, is an experimental laboratory procedure which measures the moisture diffusivity of a cementious material. The method and procedure for measuring diffusivity developed during this research is an initial investigation that provides a foundation for future diffusivity research. | en |
