dc.description.abstract | A comprehensive and adaptable classroom observation system was developed for use by practicing public school teachers in Grades K-12 without much special training. A feature of the system which distinguishes it from existing systems is that the teacher to be observed will himself select the classroom behaviors about which he wants information. Ninety-four classroom behaviors comprise the system, and their reliabilities have been measured and ranked. A master list of 199 classroom behaviors was first compiled, including cognitive, routine, affective, and psychomotor behaviors of teachers and students.
