dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine the predictive value of several variables on achievement in college level industrial education courses in woodworking, metalworking, and electricity-electronics. The hypothesis stated that no relationship existed between achievement in the beginning courses studied and the following variables: (1) scores on the Science Research Associates Mechanical Ability Test; 92) scores on the Purdue Pegboard manual dexterity test; (3) scores on the American College Testing Battery; (4) number of high school credits and average grades earned in industrial arts, science, and mathematics; (5) student's home environment including father's occupational and educational categories and population of home town. ... | en |
