dc.description.abstractProblem [line break] The primary purpose of this study was to ascertain the value of programmed instruction using teaching machines in industrial arts at the eighth and ninth grade levels through an experimental study. Secondary purposes of the research were to determine: (1) if information could be acquired relating to individualized teaching of industrial arts, (2) if there is a correlation between IQ scores and the method of instruction, and (3) if there are ways of providing supplementary material while various activities are conducted simultaneously in the industrial arts laboratory. ...en
