dc.description.abstract | This study was designed to provide a framework for improved decision making with respect to timing and amounts of irrigation water and fertilizer in the production of irrigated cotton on the High Plains of Texas. Response surfaces for yield, staple length and micronaire were estimated by least squares multiple regression from experiments designed primarily to obtain physiological data. An iterative model was developed which successively approximated profit maximizing levels of inputs and yield when both yield and staple length were functions of water and nitrogen. ... | en |
