dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this investigation was to determine the effect of ingesting dextrose on performance. Performances after dextrose as ingested were compared with performances when nothing was ingested and also when a placebo was ingested. It was also the purpose of this study to compare the three treatments to determine if differences existed in heart rate prior to performance as well as upon completion of exercise. In addition, an investigation was made to determine if any of the subjects developed dizziness or nausea as a result of ingesting dextrose. ...en
