dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between an in-service training program on questioning skills, and the attitudes, verbal behaviors, and cognitive levels of classroom questions of secondary American history teachers. This study was conducted in the San Antonio Independent School District (Texas) during the spring semester of 1971. Thirty-six secondary American history teachers were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The study was conducted over a three month period and consisted of pre-test, in-service, and post-test phases. Members of the experimental group A participated in the first and third phases.
