Internet Resource Discovery: Finding NTP Servers
Abstract
This paper describes work related to the discovery of a specific resource of the global Internet: clock synchronization via networked time. However, at least as interesting as the particular conclusions on networked time, the results described in this paper provide a concrete example of the more general problem of resource discovery. The steps taken in the work described in this paper can easily be generalized to the discovery of other resources on-the Internet.
