DARTLS: A System For Automatic Programming Of Protection Relay Trip Logic And Sequencing
Abstract
DARTLS, a system for automatic programming of protection relay trip logic and sequencing, is being developed at Texas A&M University. This system employs interactive computer graphics and user-friendly software to enable a utility engineer to interface with a computer using traditional relaying terminology. The system accepts a relay trip logic scheme in block diagram form and compiles a 6809 microprocessor object code implementation of that scheme. This object code program will be used in the operation of a microprocessor-based relay. This paper details the development of the man-machine interface portion of DARTLS.
