dc.description.abstract | This report discusses the applications of computers to technical communication, especially writing, and how those applications influence the educational needs of technical writers. A literature review illustrates the various applications of computers to the publication process. A survey of 50 technical writers in Texas supplements the literature review by providing a current picture of computer use in technical communication. To clarify some considerations raised in the applications discussion, a brief literature review and a survey of 20 technical writing educators sum the educational responses to computer use in communications. | en |
