Testing And Calibrating A Hadron Calorimeter
Abstract
We propose to test and calibrate the Forward/Backward Hadron Calorimeter of the CDF (Collider Detector at Fermilab). It is designed to cover a pseudorapidity region of 2.2 ≤ | η | ≤ 4.2. It is composed of multi proportional wire-chambers and steel plates. The test data were taken from the CDF Test Beam facility during Dec. 1987 and Jan. 1988. We describe the characteristics of our calorimeter and the result of our analysis.
