A Direct Spectrophotometric Assay for Arginase
Abstract
This report describes the develpment of a direct, spectrophotometric assay for arginase. The assay may be conveniently used at high substrate concentrations (8Km) for assaying crude sources of arginase, and for steady-state kinetic studies of the enzyme. The assay has the advantage over other conventional colorimetric assays, in that it is fast and accurate.
