Abstract
A description of systems used in integrated
harvesting of quality and unmerchantable trees is
outlined for three areas in New Brunswick, Canada.
The silvicultural benefits and the use of residues
as an alternative to fossil fuels are the reasons
for
overcoming the normally unfavorable economics
producing residues-for-energy.
