Abstract
The lack of the adequate data base for
thermodynamic properties and the
computational burden of exergy analysis are
two major barriers to the second law
analysis of industrial processes. In this
paper the essential property implementations
are discussed and a computerization strategy
for exergy analysis is described. Examples
of the directive role of second law analysis
to improved energy utilization are included.
