Abstract
This paper describes the three-step application of a computer program that is used for plant design and testing. In the first step, cogeneration plant energy balances are analyzed to select and design the major equipment components. Secondly, the program is adjusted to create a computer model of the final plant design using actual manufacturer's performance curves, data and equipment details for the major items. In the third step, the computer model is modified to create a plant test program that predicts the performance at the actual test conditions, compares predicted versus actual performance and then calculates the corrected performance at the design guarantee conditions.
