As a society, we have grown increasingly dependent on a group of chemicals broadly referred to as CFC's. These compounds play an essential role in a surprising number of applications including commercial, industrial and residential uses. Recent studies have linked CFC's to the deterioration of the earth's ozone layer. This paper discusses the connection between CFC's and ozone, pending regulations which will affect the production, purchase and use of CFC's and the impacts and options available to those organizations who use CFC's and will be affected by these regulations.en
