Abstract
This paper presents an in-depth survey of motors in a refinery and a chemical plant. The potential for energy and demand savings is then determined and hence the dollar savings using a sliding rate structure currently applicable to the petrochemical industry in Louisiana. Extensive use of the program MotorMaster is used to determine energy and demand savings.
