Located in the Industrial District of Galveston Island, Distinguished Transitions is a unique complex that offers housing for the homeless and working poor combined with a public community center, al within the fabric of a listed historic building. This transitional housing facility exhibits a self-sustaining nature that encourages community interaction among the building's residents. While providing services such as case management, job training, and housing assistance to help residents get back on their feet, the project imparts the skills necessary to prosper in a tourism society.
