dc.description.abstractAliviar is a Relief Community and Shelter Facility for immigrants coming into America for the first time. The proposed project contains housing, education, legal resources, and community spaces. This project focuses on the user experience through enrichment, safety, and sanctuary. It also focuses on sustainability through adaptive reuse and the reuse of local materials. Aliviar aims towards not only the reduction of energy usage, but towards a better start of life for those who aspire for the American Dream.en
