Synthesis and Characterization of Ynediyl-Bridged Pincer Complexes and Conjugated Bis(pincer) Complexes for Novel Metallapolymer Preparation
Abstract
Conducting metallapolymers have attracted interest for years as promising multifunctional materials. The complexity of properties originates from the integration of the organic conjugated polymer backbone and the chelated metal. Although there have been many works focusing on developing materials from the existing toolbox, we sought to explore this field via introducing a new type of metallapolymer with diarylamido/bisphosphine (PNP) pincer complexes. This PNP pincer ligand contains advantages such as versatile chelation on metals, structural rigidity, and a redox-active backbone. We anticipate those features could be useful in a conducting metallapolymer.
