Abstract
A large oblong coprolite near cone A picture 1, possibly originating from an insect. both cone A (picture 1) and cone B (picture 2) are mature. Picture 3 displays pollen originating from Cordaitina sp. in ruptured pollen sacks from cone A. Plate 8B is a successive peel taken from the same coal ball as plate 8A.
Description
These images were used in the research for a master's thesis from the Texas A&M University Dept. of Geology and Geophysics (Date of submission: May 2020).Images were taken from slides on loan from the Harvard Paleobotanical Herbarium.
Cones A and B are Mature cones.
Pollen originating from Cordaitina sp.
A large golden coprolite near cone A possibly produced by an insect.
Mounted peels were made by William C. Darrah.
