dc.description.abstract | A method and apparatus for conducting mass spectrometry. The mass spectrometry may be accomplished by ion drift-chemical ionization mass spectrometry. One embodiment includes a chemical ionization mass spectrometer comprising an ion drift zone having an ion conductor that transports positive or negative ions.
