The year 1976 marked 100 years since the opening of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (Texas A&M University). Throughout that year the different disciplines of study on campus choose to celebrate by hosting special events and ceremonies. On February 2, 1976, Governor Dolph Briscoe spoke to students and former students commending them for their high moral characters and outstanding leadership. The College of Veterinary Medicine marked the year with speakers, panel discussions and social events depicted in these images, that have not been specifically unidentified.en
