dc.description.abstractDr. George Shelton (1923-2010). George Shelton born in Stephenville, TX received his DVM in 1948 from Texas A&M University. He moved to Missouri where he practiced veterinary medicine for one year in 1949 before joining the teaching staff of Columbia Veterinary School at the University of Missouri in 1950. He completed a Master's degree at Auburn University and went on to get a Ph.D. at University of Minnesota and from there went back to the University of Missouri to teach and later served as associate dean. In 1973, he returned to Texas A&M as Dean of the Veterinary College. After retiring in 1989 he returned to columbia, MO. and died April 10, 2010 in Belleville, IL. - http://stei-23841.tributes.com/obituary/print/88256961en
