dc.description.abstractDr. James E. Womack a professor at College of Veterinary Medicine since 1973 and known for conducting pioneering research in the cattle genome. In 2001 he received the Wolf Prize in Agriculture. The late German-born inventor, diplomat, and philanthropist Ricardo Wolf established the Wolf Foundation through which the awards are granted. Five annual Wolf Prizes have been awarded every year since 1978 to scientists and artists in four out of five scientific fields in rotation: agriculture, chemistry, mathematics, medicine and physics.en
